As a wedding planner, one of the biggest honors I can receive is to be asked to plan or design a wedding for a couple or bride that I know personally or professionally.  That is exactly what happened with this couple, Nicole and Kevin.

I met Nicole through a networking group in Scottsdale, AZ, when my wedding planning company, BTS, was just a baby.  We collaborated on a styled shoot that turned out absolutely amazing.  Nicole is a very talented baker and the owner of Glitz & Glam Cupcakes.  I had the idea to do a bacon dessert bar, as part of the styled shoot, and Nicole far surpassed my vision with her designs and creativity.  It turned out incredible!  Check out her work below:

A few years after meeting, Nicole became a newly engaged woman and her very own wedding planning began.  She reached out to us at BTS, and asked us to be her wedding planners.  As I mentioned earlier, Nicole has amazing creativity, so she didn’t need us to do much of the design for her wedding.  What she really needed was a little help and guidance along the way and someone to manage the day of her wedding.  She hired us as her Day of Wedding Coordinators.

In 2015, Pantone named marsala the color of the year and it was all the rage for a lot of our beautiful brides.  Although marsala was the actual color of the year, we feel in influenced many of our couples  who opted for more of a burgundy or rich wine color that was also just as lovely!  This is exactly the case for our bride Nicole.  You will see these beautiful rich hues through out her wedding design.  They are very well complimented but the perfect neutral shades of  champagne and gold.

Nicole and Kevin’s wedding took place at the incredibly stunning Phoenician resort, located in Scottsdale, AZ.  As wedding planners in Scottsdale, we are fortune enough to work at some of the most outstanding wedding venues, but this is by far one of our absolute favorites.

One of our favorite design aspects of this wedding was the amazing paper flower wall that you will see in the photos below.  It stood 8 feet tall and was 8 feet wide.  This beauty was completely hand made by the bride and some of her closest friends.  It was absolutely incredible.  This paper flower wall doubled as a back drop for the ceremony and the head table.  We had to make sure this lovely creation got the most amount of show time, throughout the wedding.
