When planning the attire for your big day, we always tell brides to go out of the box for bridesmaid dresses. Our favorite places to look are not your typical wedding store or bridesmaid shop. As you will see below, we love to look at places like Revolve, Nordstrom, Pretty Little Thing, etc. for your wedding party’s attire.
Since we love to style our brides, we get asked all the time for suggestions on bridesmaid looks and color trends we think will look great for a wedding. It has been very common over the last few years to play it safe and go for a neutral color like champagne or blush, but we want to shake things up a bit and send you a bridesmaid color we love and adore…blue.
Check out some super cute amazing blue bridesmaid dresses, we think you will look amazing on your ladies at your wedding:
Wearing the right shirt with the right bra is often times pretty tricky but let’s talk about wearing the right bra with your wedding dress – now that’s tricky. These days, with the ever-revolving wedding dress styles and trends we are seeing a lot more skin and a lot more reveal. I think the biggest question a lot of girls have that are bustier when finding their perfect dress is, well can I wear a bra with that?
Some dresses from Galia Lahav or Berta for example are becoming more risqué and most brides do not want straps popping out or to worry about being uncomfortable during the biggest day of their life. Some companies have stepped in to help with this and we will list them below, but also, a lot of dresses are being made with built in bras due to the complexity of the dress. However, some dresses are less structured and a bra might be needed in order to look your very best on your special day. If this is the case and you are not one of the lucky ones that can go without a bra, here are some perfect options for all different types of wedding dresses.
A lot of clothing lines and specialty designers have actually started making undergarments for this exact thing. Kim Kardashian for example made her breakout in clothing with Skims. Skims has created multiple pieces of undergarments for every possible outfit and color. Kim together with other companies have made wearing less feel more comfortable. From Tapes, to pasties, to strapless low cut bras and bralettes, wearing undergarments confidently has become more and more universally visible.

One of the only times where you can get a good idea of what the future holds is during Fashion Week. And after this week, we believe the future is telling us that the 90s are continuing into 2018 in the form of neon and classic hair accessories.
Just when you thought the days of Fresh Prince, Friends, and Seinfeld are over, the 90s made their way back into our hearts. We’ve recently noticed this trend in all the plaid and neon plastered through TopShop and Zara and, as expected New York Fashion Week reflected these trends as well. We anticipated that this trend would trickle its way into weddings and right on cue, we see Kim Kardashian West at 2 Chain’s wedding sporting a neon green latex dress.
Below we’ve compiled a list of hairstyles we can totally see a bride work on her wedding day as well as dress options for guests.
Ladies, let us know if you would strut your stuff down the aisle with one of these hairstyles. If you’re going to be a guest at a wedding, let us know which neon dress you can see yourself in.

As women, after we find the outfit we’re used to spicing it up with the perfect accessories. The same is true for your wedding gown. This is why our brides often ask us, “Do I need to carry a purse on my wedding day?” The answer is yes AND no. Here’s why. Let’s be clear, you won’t need to be carrying around a cross body over your gown during your wedding festivities. But there are a few important, and often looked over, reasons why we do recommend at least purchasing a clutch for the big day.
First is You’ll need a clutch because it makes for an amazingly detailed shot. But also, when you do the money dance, what better place to put your money than in the five-star clutch you bought specifically for your wedding? Another reason is the after party! Many of our brides have gone out or had a small after party AFTER reception. This is totally common. So why not join the party in style with your clutch in hand. Finally and in case your maid of honor hasn’t thought of this already, you’ll need a clutch to keep things like phone, room key, lipstick, blotting papers, and gum/mints all in one place.
Below is a rundown on two of our absolute favorite clutches for brides. The first is Saint Laurent and can be used even after the wedding. Tip: when convincing your husband to add this to the wedding purchases, just say it’s reusable, and won’t be for one day only. You can find this clutch here.
The second is wedding specific, but if you get it early enough, you can wear it for all your wedding festivities like your engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party and for the day of the wedding. This bridal clutch is by Show Me Your MuMu and you can find it here!
Will you be rocking a clutch on your wedding day? Is it any of these? If not, let us know where you got yours from. We’re always excited to add new bridal related designers to our list. If you need help picking out a bridal clutch for your wedding day, shoot us an email at info@btseventmanagement.com.

Ladies, summer is here and so are its colors. During the months of June and July, I’m sure you’ve noticed an incredible amount of weddings on your timeline. That’s because it’s wedding season. If you’re a bride, that means it’s also the perfect time to capitalize on the style of dress your bridesmaids wear.
If you’re having a summer wedding and are looking into bridesmaid dress color options, we’ve got you covered. Yellow has been on our radar for some time now, and we have yet to see a bride use it as her bridesmaid dress color. We’ll be honest, yellow is definitely a bold, statement color. But as you may know, we love when brides think out of the box with their wedding, especially when it comes to styling. What we love more is helping you with those bridal styling needs. This is why we compiled a list of our favorite yellow dresses for bridesmaids, perfect for a summer or spring wedding.
First up is an ACME dress, Privacy Please. You can find this beautiful number at Revolve. If flowy and boho is your thing, this dress is perfect for you.
Second is X NAVEN MARISSA dress NBD. You can also find this at Revolve. We’re obsessed with the slit and the cutout. It’s still very sexy but also covered up in the right places. We can totally see this gown worn at a modern, beach hotel wedding.
Third on our radar is from Fame and Partners. It is the Elisa Dress. What we love most about the Elisa dress is the high neckline and open back. High necklines are in, so stay on trend and incorporate it into your bridesmaid look.
Fourth on our list is the Verbena Dress from Reformation. It’s so boho. If you’re a bride that frequents Free People, this gown is perfect for your style. Not to mention, the off-the-shoulder, floor length dress with a ruffle-edged, slight sweetheart neckline will look great on your bridesmaids.
The final dress is also from Reformation, the Rosey Dress. This is a floor length wrap dress with a deep v neckline, is a statement. Wrap dresses are always flattering, so your bridesmaids will appreciate you for this one. We promise!
Many of these yellow gowns live in the same color pallet. What does this mean? Mixing and matching these gowns isn’t a bad idea Let us know in the comments which dress is your favorite! Be sure to email us at info@btseventmanagement.com for bridal styling inquiries.
Bridal stylist is not a term you hear often when you think of wedding planning. The first vendors that come to mind are florists, photographers, videographers, or even wedding planners. The bridal stylist is largely overlooked. But weddings with a stylist are largely vital
We have an affinity for fashion, so it’s no surprise to us that the weddings of the brides, who hire a bridal stylist are often the most praised, for the complete look of the wedding. Because we hate seeing the bridal stylist get overlooked when hiring vendors to help you on your wedding day, we came up with three reasons why you should hire a bridal stylist.
As you go through the list, we’ll show you some of our favorite fashion-forward BTS weddings.
1. cut out the noise when saying yes to the dress
Have you heard the phrase, “too many chefs in the kitchen”? It’s when too many people are trying to control or influence a situation. This is what we recommend staying away from when the bride is saying “yes, to the dress.”
Finding the perfect dress is already stressful enough. You’re trying to find the dress you haven’t already seen a bride wear. The dress that matches your wedding venue. The dress that compliments your body. The dress that doesn’t overshadow the groom. With so many things to consider, too many chefs in the kitchen can lead you into choosing a dress for the wrong reasons.
Entrusting a bridal stylist with searching for the right gown for you is a decision we can’t speak more highly of. It streamlines the process, may open your eyes to designs and designers you haven’t thought of, and so much more.
2. help the groom
Now, to be clear. All grooms are not fashionably-challenged. We’ve had many grooms in the past, whose fashion was ON POINT. But we’d be naive to think that’s all of our grooms. There are a couple dilemmas we often see when it comes to grooms picking out their tux:
Not thinking wedding day is also about them and just settling for a black tux.
Wanting to step out of the box a little bit, but not quite executing the look.
Wanting to step out of the box a little bit, but not sure how or where to start.
Wanting advice, but not wanting to ask their wife to keep that element of surprise between the bride and groom.
Hiring a bridal stylist for the reasons above can take tons of unnecessary stress off of an already stressful time. Let the stylist do the heavy lifting and help you with feeling and looking your best on your wedding day. After all, grooms, this day is about you too!
3. coordinate the entire bridal party
Just as the bride and groom should compliment each other, so should the bridal party. That includes everyone, mother and father of the bride and groom, ring bearer, best man, maid of honor, groomsmen and bridesmaids. You want everyone to cohesively compliment one another.
Now that you’ve got the rundown of why it’s important to hire a bridal stylist if you’re looking for one, please email info@btseventmanagement.com. We’d love to consult you on your wedding day fashion needs.
