The wedding is getting so close! We are just under 2 months away from actually walking down the aisle and I cannot believe how fast time has flew by. Now that I think of it, there are so many things that we have not yet done. One of them being my bridal shower. I am currently on my way back to Pennsylvania to go see all my hometown friends and family as they prepare my bridal shower. I had decided to go back home for my shower because it made most sense for one person to travel rather than 30 people come to Arizona. Not to mention, I am definitely due for a trip back home to see all my closest friends and my entire immediate and extended family. I am not however, excited for the bone chilling cold.
I am extremely excited to be able to share this time with everyone and for once, not have to plan a party. At first, I may have envisioned specifics details and arrangements but after thinking about it a little bit, I came to the conclusion that no matter what, I am going to love every aspect of the day.
My Mom, Aunt and Bridesmaids have been detailing everything out for a few weeks now and with my Mom’s artistic touch, my Aunt’s keen eye for design, and my MOH’s organization I know everything will look and feel amazing.
One thing to mention about my shower, being that I am traveling across the country, there won’t be a large amount of gifts. I made sure to point out in my invitations that I will not be able to travel with much luggage so it would be best to send everything to our home. If anyone is planning a destination shower, be sure to do this so that you do not have to send all of your goodies back to your house. Chris and I have been receiving gifts since December. It is so exciting to come home every day and see boxes outside of our front door. We are very thankful for EVERYTHING that we have received so far!
I am so excited for this weekend (did I mention that?)!! I will be sure to keep you posted next week when I return from my trip.
For now, I am taking off!
