The Perfect Honeymoon Destinations

What do you do once most of your wedding planning is out of the way? You plan the perfect honeymoon for you and your new hubby. Ahh . . . doesn’t that sound sweet. We know you can hear the sound of the ocean in the background as your reading this post.

Expert travel agent Tracy Rouvivere has given us all of the details about the 3 best places (all Instagram photo worthy) to adventure for your honeymoon and we are here to share them with you:

  1. New Zealand

    New Zealand

If you want a honeymoon that’s a bit different, New Zealand is the perfect place to mix it up. Blanket Bay Lodge is a resort that seamlessly combines nature, relaxation, and luxury. It is located on New Zealand’s South Island, just outside of Queenstown. With the Southern Alps and Lake Wakatipu providing the backdrop, you’ll feel like you’re in a film. Also perfect for pictures for the gram! There are so many activities to do here, from fly-fishing to skiing to golfing and everything in between.

Fiordland National Park is also nearby, it is known for its glacier-carved fiords, and through the resort you can book a helicopter tour of this incredible place. If you’d rather not leave the grounds, you can still enjoy the spectacular views while you pamper yourself with a personalized spa treatment or dine at the award-winning restaurant. The restaurant features a 5-course dinner menu that includes local delicacies and is constantly changing based on the availability of fresh local ingredients. One of the most unique things about New Zealand is that their seasons are completely opposite to the United States. You’re getting married in a winter month and want to escape the cold? That’s no problem! Because summer there is from December to February.

2. St. Lucia

If you want a picture perfect Caribbean honeymoon, the Sandal’s Grande St. Lucian should be your ideal pick! The hotel is optimally located on its own peninsula on the island of St. Lucia. It has a mile-long stretch of beach just steps from the resort and is surrounded by majestic volcanic mountains. The resort seems like it was designed especially for the perfect honeymoon.

They have a range of villa-type suites that are either over water or beachfront. Some of these include a private pool and all suites come with a private butler and of course 24-hour room service. The resort also offers a range of included activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. The best part about this place is that it is all inclusive, meaning you pay up front and all meals and drinks are included in the price. This will make your honeymoon as stress free as possible; you will have nothing to worry about except enjoying yourself at the Grande St. Lucian.

3. Amalfi Coast

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Amalfi Coast, if not you are missing out big time! But not to worry, thanks to Tracy, we’re giving you the rundown on this beautiful place. Not only is this one of the most beautiful places in the world, it is also one of the most romantic. At the Hotel Santa Caterina you have the whole of the Amalfi Coast at your finger tips. The pools and restaurants overlook the coastline and it is located near the center of Positano. The hotel offers shuttles to nearby places like Ravello, Sorento, Pompeii, and Naples. If day trips aren’t in the cards, they have a word class spa that features homegrown Mediterranean herbs and citrus to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind, and of course you can finish up with a glass of prosecco! Packages are always available for honeymooners and couples alike.
