Don’t get me wrong, this next post is not to be negative in anyway but, the frustration that I have felt in the last 2 months as a new bride to be is real. Every single detail, and I mean EVERY single detail, consistently crosses my mind and comes up and then goes away daily. I keep getting the questions, “It’s probably really easy to plan your wedding since you are a planner, right?” And “How is planning going?” Truth be told, the planning process is just as hard as not having any idea about wedding planning. See, I don’t have a planner, other than Trista, and of course we have our other weddings to worry about so I don’t like to vent a whole lot about our planning process but, the stress and frustration that a new bride goes through during the planning process can really get the best of you. (Usually I have to break in the middle of our work day and just let it out!)
As much as one may not realize, your wedding planner acts as your bumper to most vendor communication, stress reliever, and task taker. We take care of all of the hiccups and questions and when our brides contact us, it is our job to immediately respond. Worrying definitely still happens but we are always available to listen. If something comes across their minds, they ask us and we respond. But what do you do when there isn’t that bumper and no professional input? What goes through your head?
So ladies with that being said, I have a few questions to those of you that are planning your wedding or have planned your wedding…
- What is/was the most stressful part of planning your wedding?
- Who was that person that you vented to?
- Did you get the answers you were looking for in a timely matter? If not, how long did you find yourself waiting for answers?
- How many times did you change your mind about one particular topic?
- Did you have a wedding planner?
- If you could do it again, what would you have done differently?
I am really looking forward to your responses, so please, share your thoughts here or email me at Alex@btseventmanagement.com.
