#TBT: Celebrity Wedding Gowns

As wedding planners, we have seen our fair share of wedding gowns, from boho to ball gown with everything in between. So, in honor of Throw Back Thursday, we thought we’d share some of our favorite celebrity wedding gowns! Check them out!

Knowing the fabulous style Whitney Port possesses, it’s really no surprise that she wowed us all in a stunning custom gown by Ashi Studio. According to Mohammed Ashi, “It was inspired by a vintage chandelier from Venice and Florence.” That must have been one heck of a chandelier to love it so much that you turn it into a stunning a wedding gown!

Why do we love it?

It’s not every day you see a bride showing off her model like legs on her wedding day. With the short front and lace detail long sleeves, Whitney’s gown is the perfect combination of edgy and classic, resulting in one of our absolute favorite gowns of 2015.

We’ve all seen Chrissy Tiegen rock a bikini, but man did she rock her wedding gowns! And yes, you read that correctly, gowns as in plural! She absolutely killed it in all three of her stunning dresses designed by the über talented Vera Wang. Her ceremony gown was an ivory strapless ball gown, with an open back, v-neck, and lots of perfectly layered tulle featuring hand cut petal embroidery.

Why do we love it?

Ball gowns aren’t nearly as popular now as they once were, but this one was done pretty much as perfectly as it gets! The skirt had a princess feel with it’s layers of tulle, but the v-neck top and barely there back gave it just what it needed to not be too princess like.

Kate Moss kate-moss-wedding

We have seen the gorgeous Kate Moss in some jaw dropping ensembles by so many designers, and her wedding dress was nothing less than fabulous. Straying from a traditional style gown and taking us back to the Gatsby Era, her John Galliano dress may not have been extravagant and over the top, but it was anything but plain!

Why do we love it?

The details in her dress are to die for! The beading and sequins are so intricate and add just enough bling to achieve the perfect look without going overboard. And not only is the detailing gorgeous, but it’s a style that we don’t often see, making it that much more fabulous!

Hilary DuffHilary_Duff_bridal_gown

Hilary Duff has come a long way from her Lizzy McGuire days and there’s no better proof of that than seeing in her Vera Wang gown for her wedding in 2010. When designing the gown she told Vera she wanted “something that was deconstructed, not perfect and prim and proper.” As you can see, the results are amazing!

Why do we love it?

Mermaid gowns are very flattering on a number of body types, and she absolutely kills it in this one! The blush organza and silk tulle is soft, romantic, and seriously gorgeous!

Kate Middletonkate-middleton-lead-asset-g-large

The Royal Wedding was all the world talked about for months, so we KNOW Kate had some serious pressure on her to choose the perfect gown. Like many before her, Kate chose a beautiful, lace adorned, long sleeve gown that in true Alexander McQueen style did not disappoint!

Why do we love it?

With a wedding rich in tradition, televised for millions to see, we had a feeling she would go with a beautiful, classic look. The lace overlay and long train keeps it timeless without dating it, and results in a perfect look for the new Duchess of Cambridge.
