Super Bowl Party Tips

This Sunday marks the 48th massive football game that takes place every year: The Super Bowl. If you’re not a huge football fan this is the perfect opportunity to entertain your family and friends while they enjoy the big game.

You could go with the options of choosing you or hubby’s favorite team, or just do a general football-themed event. The Bronco’s colors are orange and dark blue, and the Seahawks colors are neon green and blue.

In lieu of a football pool, have each guest predict the winner’s final score. Write each guess on a tag and tie it to his or her beer stein. Whoever gets closest to the correct score wins.

– Give your guests a selection of beers that reflect the names, the mascots, or the hometowns of the competing teams. Or, stock up on pints that represent your favorite teams:

Denver Broncos: Dark Horse Beer

Seattle Seahawks: Black Hawk Stout

– Cut coasters out of AstroTurf that you can get at your local hardware store.

– Set out potted wheatgrass (available at flower shops and nurseries) topped with pennants and mini footballs

– Design your table runner to look like a football field; just spread out Con-Tact Chalkboard Contact Paper and draw yard lines with chalk and a ruler. Then leave out the chalk and let your guests strategize their own plays throughout the party.
