Berta Fall 2018 Collection- NYBFW
We are finally coming to the end of the road for all of our NYBFW coverage, but don’t worry the last show went out with just as much of a bang as all of the others. We have to say that with BERTA being one of our favorite bridal designers, we were so excited to be attending her show on our last day in New York. We think it’s fair to say, this show was anticipated to be the Holy Grail of bridal fashion week, and it definitely lived up to all of our expectations.
When we found out the show was taking place at Canoe Studios, where Beyonce filmed her “Love on Top” music video, we knew we were in for a treat. If Bey filmed there, then the location is already gold right? The beautiful clean white space studio was perfect for the 400+ people who were in attendance for the show. The runway stretched from one end of the room to the other, leaving an extremely long space for the models to show off each amazing gown to everyone in attendance.
Berta is known for taking risks that other designers are currently not taking. Her gowns for the Fall 2018 collection are so unique we can 100 percent understand why she is considered one of the pioneers of bridal fashion right now.
What We Saw
The collection consisted of a lot of lace, sheer, high classy slits, and deep v’s. The details on each gown were out of this world, and impossible to ignore. Almost all of the gowns had such detailed beading, that it made us wonder exactly how long it must have taken for each one to be made. We also noticed a trend of feathers in the collection, which definitely added a different touch and made us feel as if we were in winter wonderland. Here are 3 of our favorite gowns from the show:
