Are you looking for a perfect destination wedding venue?  One that fits all parameters of each of your guests as well as your very own satisfaction?  Something that gives you the most personal wedding experience possible but thousands of miles away from home?  Grand Velas Resorts has it all and they have several locations too!

Let’s begin by saying how familiar we are with Grand Velas Resorts as we have worked on property at both their Cabo and Cancun locations. This privately owned chain of resorts in Mexico, specializes in a high end, luxury, all-inclusive experience and in Puerto Vallarta, that experience resumed consistent to the brand.

To give a little insight into Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as a whole; it is known as a resort town on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.  The city is extremely developed in the sense that it has many American chained business establishments.  Which came as a surprise compared to Cabo and Cancun.  Puerto Vallarta is known for being a wealthier city of Mexico and crime is very low.

CASA VELAS

The first night was spent at Casa Velas, a small, adult only, boutique style property, all-inclusive resort. Casa Velas would be perfect for a destination wedding looking to have 100-150 guests attending their wedding.  The resort consists of about 60 guest sleeping rooms, hence the meaning behind boutique.  They make it easy to do a resort buy-out, which gives couples the flexibility to really make their guest experience exactly what they are looking for. Like the other Velas properties we have worked at and stayed at previously, the service, culinary experience and overall charm of the grounds is unmatched.

A private, romantic dinner ambiance was created for Trista and her boyfriend (yes, he is real – LOL!) that was full of surprises.  Dinner consisted of a five course menu, filled with fresh foods of all variety and wine pairings to accompany.  Service was of the highest level with knowledge of the property in its entirety.  The night was truly special.

One of the most special parts of the venue is the large lawn engulfed with a surrounding garden on all ends.  This essentially blank piece of property is where many of their weddings and events take place.  Not to mention, the garden serves as a multipurpose of not only beauty but as a supply of fresh herbs and spices to fill the resort.

A short two minute ride from the resort, you will be embraced by the beach club staff to welcome you to the beach club where all water sports and fun take place.  This is also a great location to host events, poolside/beachside for your guests to enjoy a special occasion.

Grand Velas, Riviera Nayarit

The next two nights were spent at Grand Velas, Riviera Nayarit.  This is Grand Velas’s first of three Velas properties.  It is the smallest one of the three but just as beautiful.  The service remained at a consistent status – incredible.  The wedding ceremony site was one of the grandest of settings we have ever seen.

Riviera Nayarit focuses on mental health, relaxation and self care.  As a result, we were able to enjoy the amenities of the relaxing spa.  There was champagne, fresh fruit trays, customized incense and love bracelets to close the experience.  It was one to remember and certainly one to want to go back to enjoy again.

The exclusive experience that we had was completely fulfilling and would be sure to meet the needs of all your guests.  From the chic a la carte restaurants to the close proximity of the local downtown city, your wedding weekend would for sure be a big hit.

Deciding to do your wedding at an all-inclusive resort is not always the easiest, especially because of the unknown.  From our personal experience, this resort surpasses all of those worries.  Everything is included and that goes without compromise.  To enjoy the food, ambiance and experience all in one does not always go hand in hand with all-inclusive’s but for the Grand Velas properties, they hit the ball out of the park.
