Designer Spotlight: Jackson Wiederhoeft

“it’s intense while remaining modern and nostalgic”

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Jackson Wiederhoeft on our podcast, The Aisle. He is the creator of Wiederhoeft bridal, which launched in 2019. Wiederhoeft is obsessed with theatre, dance, and the magic of live performance, which shows in his modern nostalgic designs.

Background

Jackson Wiederhoeft is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, where he won “Women’s Designer of the Year” in 2016 for his thesis collection, “The Dollies.” Pieces from this collection went on to be featured in publications like CR, V, and Vogue Hommes. Many of his pieces are seen worn by Rihanna, Aquaria, and Lil’ Kim.

On April 6, he released his 2022 collection, his fifth, with 60 new pieces. Due to its ballerina inspiration, this collection speaks near and dear to us. If you follow us, you know we are obsessed with ballerina’s and their performances.

Our Obsession

We are drawn to his design collections for the unique niche he has been able to create with a very current twist on 80’s and 90’s trends taking place in the 2020’s. What can be better than that? Since he has such a draw to custom design, he also has tons of ballet inspiration, which you all know from a few ballet performances we have had at weddings, is very near and dear to our hearts.

Check out some of our favorite pieces from Wiederhoeft bridal with puff sleeves, lots of romantic layers, corset tops, and tons of lace:
