Winter weddings are approaching,

which means you lovely ladies are getting ready for your big appearance at your bestie’s, cousin’s, or coworker’s super special day!! First big question…what to wear? We’ve got you covered. This blog is 100% dedicated to keeping you fab in those cooler climates. Check out the next paragraphs and inspiration images for what to and what not to wear to this grand occasion!

First things first, check the dress code!!

We cannot stress this enough. There may be specific colors the couple would prefer guests wear, and there may be a specific level of attire they are requiring for the evening. Nine times out of ten, the attire request for guests is: black tie. This means gowns for the ladies and tuxedos for the guys. We recommend getting your hair and make up done professionally and really stepping up the fanciness for this night. Remember to always avoid wearing any white or ivory, unless specifically asked to do so!

Black tie

Now assuming you are attending a black tie affair, you are going to want a floor length gown. We recommend one with a nice slit or low back, maybe even a plunging neckline. We also recommend you go for long sleeves or even follow the latest trends and get some high gloves…work of art for sure! Check out some of these super hot winter guest attire inspiration images.

TIP: You will want to pick a heavier, warmer fabric and might want to top this off with a chić faux fur shall or even a long trench coat that is left at the coat check desk (no coats in the ballroom for ladies). There are some designers who have jumped on the formal cape trend and have incorporated them into their evening attire gowns. We are huge fans of this idea!!

Don’t forget we are always available and accessible for any questions you might have when pulling these looks together xoxo

Basics have been slowly making a comeback. Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian made basic loungewear a thing. And now the basic trend has made its way over to bridal. But we’re not thanking Kylie or Kim for this new trend. We’re thanking the Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.

We called it back in May. We said, “whatever Meghan Markle wore for her wedding, would be trendsetting in bridal.: And her gowns have done just that. Rocking two of the most beautifully simple gowns, designers have taken note, and–for the first time ever–we’re here for something basic. That being said, we’re recapping three of our favorite bridal designers, who took a page from Meghan Markle’s book in their 2018 collections.

Pronovias

First Pronovias and their EOL collection. You’ll find gowns that are beautiful because they are simple. This Pronovias gown has a crossed beaded fringe on the back, giving off a feeling of elegance and sensuality. The bateau neckline takes a page from Meghan Markle’s book adding that little bit of sophistication.

Liancarlo Design

Next, is Liancarlo Design. This Liancarlo gown gives a few nods to Meghan’s second gown. We’re obsessed with its simplicity. This matte crepe high-neck accentuates the shoulders in the same way Meghan’s dress did. It has that fitted, silk component that adds just the right amount of sexy. Are you here for this Liancarlo Design? We totally are.

Pnina Tornai

And finally, Pnina Tornai. They too have a couple gowns similar to Meghan’s second gown. The gown below, which is part of the Love by Pnina Tornai collection, is for a bride that loves that fitted silk look, but also looking to show a bit more skin. We’re in love with this deep v in the front. Who else is here for this sexier look?

Brides, if you’re shopping for a wedding gown, simple is on trend. When you go simple, we promise, your children will look back and won’t turn their nose up to your dated dress, because it’s simplicity allows it to last a lifetime. Are you on the hunt for a Meghan Markle look-alike? Need help finding something perfect for you? If so, send us an email at info@btseventmanagement.com, we’d love to help you find your perfect gown.

That one bride….the one that is confident, stress-free, over the top positive, and obtains an incredible sense of style that you have to check in and ask “is this real life”….a wedding planners dream:) That is exactly the type of bride Christine was on her wedding day and through out her entire wedding planning process.  Christine decided to have her wedding at one of the best venues in town, The Phoenician, a five diamond rated resort that fits just perfectly into the elegance and class that she has.
