New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall ’20 Collection

Wow. We are still catching up on sleep, work and trying to get our minds right from all the amazingness that we saw last week at New York bridal fashion week but we just can’t seem to shake it. New York in itself, is a one of a kind city. Full of dreams, lights, and people and for us, we attend for all of that, and of course, for the dresses.

 Year 3 for BTS

This year, marks our third year of attending shows, meeting designers, and drooling over elegance at its finest. We had a jam packed weekend of Runway shows and private viewings of our most favorite designers and some we never even knew before. None the less, it was an experience we will never forget and always remember.  Not to mention, we stayed at one of our favorite hotels, Dream Downtown, and had some amazing food experiences as well. (Alex and Storm love food, by the way).

The Shows:

Berta, Galia, Pronovias, Pnina and Julie Vino– you all know they are some of our favorites and boy, they did not disappoint.

This season was definitely a season of sophistication and bringing back tradition. We saw a lot of ball gowns and a lot of bows. Berta, took the conservative route and definitely scaled back on the sexy sheer look. Pnina, while typically known for her crystals and bling, brought lace, satin and bows to the show. THE BOWS! Oh how obsessed we are with the bows. Check out some of our favorite looks that we captured right from the runway.  We are in love!

One designer that hit our photo albums this weekend that completely blew us away was Tel Aviv designers, Yael Eisenberg and Heli Kalkstein, also known as Eisen Stein. These two met each other in design school and after a short 4 month design process, had created their first bridal line in 2011.

To say their dresses are gorgeous is simply an understatement. The vision the pair has, coupled with the most high quality materials of silk, lace, beading and Swarovski crystals really had our jaws drop.  One dress, was a last minute addition that took only days to produce. This dress happened to be our teams favorite. The intricacy and detail was out of this world and oh my, it was a stunner.

Any-who! To say our expectations were met, is an understatement. We had the best time, in the best city doing the best things. Wanna hear more or see more from our experience, head over to our Instagram page and check out our highlights!!

The new ‘it’ flower is here. Baby’s Breath, long known as a filler flower, is showing up in all the modern weddings we love. We noticed the trend emerging after the Royal Wedding starred beautiful white and green floral arrangements. Since then, we’ve seen the delicate flower featured in Victoria Swarovski’s wedding, the Rodarte Spring 2018 collection release in Paris, and Reem Acra’s Fall 2018 line and we can’t get enough of it. We are big suckers for modern, chic details, so naturally, we fell in love with this trending bud. Take a look at what we fell in love with.

To honor the comeback of this classic flower we used it as the sole contributor to our art like the floral installation, brought to you by Moel Leux Events, at our styled shoot at the Intercontinental Barclay in New York City. The classic modern city skyline was the perfect backdrop for this modern classic flower and the amazing high fashion bridal gowns from Designer Loft Bridal Salon in NYC and bridesmaid gowns from White Runway.

Some of our favorite items from this shoot are the House of Catherine items. HOC and their team created the wedding suite, the bridesmaid Ts, the custom bride’s ‘Mrs. I’m Married’ jacket and black acrylic ‘at last’ signage. All of the items are linked, so if you’re obsessing over them, I show you right where to find them.

Thanks to our fabulous vendors and some amazing local New York models and hair and makeup artists, we were able to create a stunning, styled shoot that captured the lavish vibe of New York City. You can find their Instagram handles below. And keep scrolling for pictures from our babies breath inspired styled shoot.

If there is one thing that Jamie and Adam love more than each other, it would definitely be the love they have for a great adventure.  Jamie and Adam have traveled many places together and in fact, even got engaged while on a vacation in Ireland.  From the very beginning stages of wedding planning, it was important to Jamie that the theme continued through to their actual wedding day.  With guests traveling to Phoenix from near and far away, they wanted each one to know about their journey together and where it has brought them.  From the table numbers indicating their travel destination cities to the centerpiece arrangements with globes, clocks and maps, guests were tastefully reminded of what brought the two of them together.  Jamie is a sweet soul and Adam has the kindest of hearts and together, we couldn’t wish them more happiness in the world.  Special thanks to our amazing vendor team for all of the contributions on this special night!

For those who may not know, one of the absolute best parts about being a wedding planner is making someone’s dream come true. So many women have had this fairytale of a day pictured in their heads from the time they were little girls, and we are the ones who get to make those dreams a reality. This BTS bride has known since the time she was little that she wanted to get married with the lush greenery and deep red rocks of Sedona as her background and MAN was it the perfect setting for this incredible wedding!

Black Tie Market

If there is anyone that loves to support a local company here in Phoenix, it is definitely us!  Recently, we got the absolute pleasure of meeting with Black Tie Market to talk about their products.  Not only did we become instantly obsessed but, we can’t stop raving about them.  Black Tie Market is owned and operated by two very lovely ladies, Amber and Nina.  When we say lovely ladies, we really mean lovely ladies – they were the sweetest and most humble people we have met in a long time.  So, let’s get into their product!

As wedding planners, meeting with a new bride is always exciting.  We never know exactly what our potential new brides are going to be like, or what they will have in mind for their wedding.  When we met with Hope, the gorgeous bride in these photos, we couldn’t have been more excited to start working with her.  We felt an instant connection and were sure we were going to be the perfect match for her wedding:)  Hope is an extremely organized bride but needed some help in the design and details department.  We put together the perfect wedding planning package for her and her fiancé Caleb and began working on her wedding right away.  Hope was already about half way through her wedding planning before we met with her so we started off by reviewing all of the great work she already had in place.  Hope was planning her big wedding day at the Scottsdale Resort, located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She planned on having a traditional Greek ceremony at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, also located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  This church is absolutely breathtaking.  We have been lucky enough to work here before for Desirae and John’s Greek wedding  (Be sure to check out those photos as well).

BTSEventManagement_WeddingPlanners_LakePowellThis past week, we were able to experience something absolutely breathtaking.   A place that we only knew of by name and had no real connection to.  Those that know of it, know of the beauty and serenity.  They know about the peaks and the valley’s, the highs and the lows.  The place that I am talking about is none other than Antelope Point Marina – the tourist location of the enormous, man made lake – Lake Powell.  First built in 1963, the lake spans over 108,000 square miles in area.  We saw less than a quarter of the lake on our visit.  IT IS HUGE!!!
