Being a wedding planner in Scottsdale, AZ, we often service couples from all over the country and world. Scottsdale always makes the top ten wedding destination location list because of it’s unique desert landscape, incredible mountain views, and very comfortable weather for about 9 months out of the year. We love working with couples from out of town, when they are planning their weddings out here, but we also really love when we get to work in other parts of the country and world as destination wedding planners. Recently we coordinated and designed a wedding in Hawaii and we have been dying to tell you all about it!
When we first began the planning, we knew the wedding location would be in Hawaii, but we didn’t have the actual island or venue narrowed down. We booked a pretty intense travel schedule to visit a few of the islands and several luxury resorts in a short amount of time. Check out the travel map we created so the bride and her mother knew right where we would be going:
It was a tough choice for the bride, being as just about every place we visited was incredibly gorgeous, but after weighing the pros and cons of several top options, the decision was made. We were set to begin the wedding planning and design at The Montage, Kapalua Bay in Maui, Hawaii. We blogged about how incredible this resort is, click here >>> here.
Our bride was very relaxed and open to letting us take the lead on designing her wedding, she only had a couple of requests and one incredibly beautiful inspiration picture for us to go off of. This was the one she sent over to us:
We took this image and created a design board, which detailed out what the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception would look like. We did some very important research, interviewed a lot of vendors and finally secured our dream team of very talented companies who we knew we could trust to execute the visions we created.
There were a lot of entertainment details locked in, scheduling details set, and final walk throughs that needed to be done in order to insure this wedding went off with out a hitch. Once all of this was in place, we were ready for the big day.
We arrived on the island 2 full days before festivities began so we could wrap up all final details, conduct final walk throughs with all vendors and begin set up.
Here are some of the beautiful images we have of this wedding, captured by Ray Santana
We could stare at these images all day long (insert heart-eye emoji here)! Check out the video of the day, captured by Amore Films: Click here >>>> Wedding Video
You may have noticed some awesome wedding shots of this beautiful bride in the ocean in her wedding dress. We were fortunate enough to be apart of her Trash the Dress photo shoot that took place the day after the wedding. Here are some still shots of this photo shoot, taken by Ray Santana:
And one last final shot for this, captured by Amore Films‘ drone, probably one of the most amazing Trash the Dress shots we have ever seen:
We loved that our bride had the idea to do this the day after her wedding. The photography captured during some extra shooting time truly produces images that are one of a kind.
