Last week, we attended New York Bridal Fashion Week. As bridal stylist, we’re the liaison between brides and their gowns. So it’s important to us that we stay up to date on the bridal trends. In return, we keep our readers and brides up to date as well. That being said and for the next week, we’ll be sharing with you a recap and our top three gowns from each show we attended. First up, Maria Farbinni!
You know what time of the month it is! Yes, time for “What’s in Our Cart.” Welcome back to our monthly blog article where we talk about online must haves from our favorite stores. As many of you probably know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started last Friday. So it’s no suprise we spent the weekend online shopping! Of course, we overstocked our carts, so we had to share some of our best finds:
You may be familiar with Nicole Williams from E Network’s show WAGS. Many of us have followed Nicole’s sometimes hopeless journey of her engagement to NFL wide receiver, Larry English. At the end of last season, we saw Nicole finally get engaged and we couldn’t have been happier for her. Just last month Nicole and Larry had their big day and not only was everything about her wedding absolutely GORGEOUS, but we are still obsessing over her picture perfect boudoir photos!
As the Fall wedding season gets closer and closer, we can’t help but get more and more excited to see all the beauty it brings! One thing we think we’ll be seeing quite a bit of is jewel tones. Deep, rich, romantic, beautiful colors in every aspect. Paired with gold metallic accents, things are going to be stunning! From big bright bouquets and navy suits, to cakes with metallic details, there is no way this isn’t going to be an absolutely gorgeous wedding season!
When it comes to guests with phones or cameras during ceremonies, we have pretty much seen it all. From the guest who watches the entire ceremony through their camera lens, to the best man who Snapchats literally everything, people are pretty attached to their devices. While some couples are totally okay with it, it doesn’t sit so well with everyone. After all, you have found the perfect photographer and you don’t want arms and phones obstructing the awesome photos they’ll be taking! So how do you ask your guests to keep their hands free of phones and cameras and focus on you during the ceremony? Easy!
When it comes to weddings, guests will travel near and far to celebrate the people they love. What better way to show your appreciation for all of their travels than by having a little welcome gift all wrapped up and awaiting their arrival! If you want to have a killer bag your guests will love, follow these guidelines and there’s no way they’ll be anything less than fabulous!
Creating your wedding guest list is no easy task! What may start off as only close friends and family, can turn into pretty much everyone you have ever worked with, had a drink with, or even talked to. So where do you draw the line? Of course it’s different for everyone, but here’s a few tips we like to give our brides!
We received a phone call from a wonderful couple, who’s names are Lily and Brian, about eight months prior to their wedding date. They lived in California and were planning a destination wedding in Scottsdale, AZ at the Phoenician Resort. Instinctually, they knew they needed a wedding planner to alleviate some of their wedding planning stress that all couples get, especially when planning from afar. I had a great time speaking with them and learning what they had in mind for their wedding. They were extremely organized and had an incredibly detailed and accurate budget created right from the beginning. As a wedding planner, I can not stress enough how important it is to create a budget or have your wedding planner create a budget for your wedding very early on. This helps every couple stay on track and allows the bride and groom to make smart choices for what they really need/want on their wedding day. This also helps determine guest count and how many people you are able to invite to your wedding with out going over budget.
