Oh my goodness! Let me tell you about the absolute best bachlorete weekend ever. So, as girls will be girls and running a million different schedules, I wasn’t actually able to have my bachelorette party until 2 weeks before the wedding. There has just been so much going on! But to tell you the truth, I think I would rather have had it closer to the wedding day than further out because of how much fun I was able to have. I would have to admit, I have been super crazy stressed and busy and have been thinking about a million and one different things and the fact that I was able to just let everything go and not worry about one single thing, 2 weeks before the wedding – it was a blessing!

Last Sunday we had such a great time at the Phoenix Bridal Show at the Hotel Sheraton in downtown Phoenix. It was our very first experience as a vendor in this show, however, we really enjoyed seeing all of the excited brides-to-be with all of their bridesmaids, parents and fiancés. Over 500 brides-to-be crowded into the ballroom space where they came to meet with vendors from all across the industry. There were travel agents, DJs, caterers, bakers, florists, dress/clothing retailers, wedding planners and many many more. We were so lucky because we were surrounded by all of our friends in the industry! We were next to Tina with Pixy Cakes, who makes some of the best tasting and looking cakes and desserts in the valley, across from Julie with JuJu’s Tutus, who custom creates flower girl dresses and accessories, and down the aisle from Dave with Pour Masters, our favorite industry bar tending service, and Eric with Got You Covered, who has a team of super talented DJs that always put on an amazing show for every wedding.

When we were approached recently by Kelly from Ben and Kelly Photography to write a blog, it made most sense. She wanted us to blog about the importance of having a photo list. Now, most of you might be like, what is a photo list and so I will explain. When planning your wedding and all the details that are included, the very last thing that the Bride or Groom thinks about is what photos they want to make sure are captured and with who – isn’t that the photographers job? Well yes, but they don’t know who your great grandmother is and what Aunt Suzie or Uncle Jim look like. As wedding planners, and essentially bystanders of the entire process – we see it becoming more and more important to help with the flow of the day.
Many people go through it and many people dread it but, when a woman gets engaged, one of the first things she thinks about is how to shred the excess pounds to fit into her dream dress. For me, I constantly battle back and forth between long stretches of working out and then of course, longer stretches of laziness. I have been an athlete my entire life and I still lack the motivation to get to the gym and properly diet. I have done every exercise under the sun – I’ve had several gym memberships, did marathon training, spin classes, Bikram yoga, Barre class and most recently, Crossfit. I get bored easily and once I have reached a threshold, I feel good about myself, tell myself I’m done and then go down hill. So, with that being said here are some recommendations I have to keep yourself on track to that perfect figure you are looking for when walking down the aisle.

Chris and I just sent out our Save the Dates! How exciting! Seems like it is just another step in the process but to me surprisingly, it is pretty exciting. I enlisted one of my bridesmaids and best friends, Erin to help me create them. Erin is an Art Director for a ad agency in Philadelphia and is also starting her own Photography and Graphic Design company, Grace & Ardor Co.. Of course, I had no other thought than to use her great skills and creativity. She gets me, my style and what I am looking for really well!
Meeting with a wedding planner can be a little scary and unpredictable at first. Typically, one doesn’t really know how to feel going into the meeting. The initial meeting will always feel more like an interview than anything. The most important part as a bride or groom talking to the planner to be is to feel extremely comfortable knowing that this person can handle one of the most important days in life. From a planner’s perspective, there are a few things that we want to share to help the process go a little easier.
For the past two years, Classic Party Rentals (Christian Miorin) teamed up with J Barry Designs (Jessica Barry) and Phoenix NACE to put together one of the most fun industry events – Rock the Warehouse. This year, we were charged up and ready for battle. Let me give you a little direction about what the event really is about. 8 designers from across the Phoenix Valley get together with a team to bring our their best creativity
Flower girls are always adorable! There is just something about a tiny little lady in a beautiful dress or gown that just always makes us smile! We love finding the perfect flower girl dresses and accessories for our brides. Lately we have been super drawn to all things blush. Don’t get me wrong, this next post is not to be negative in anyway but, the frustration that I have felt in the last 2 months as a new bride to be is real. 
Every single detail, and I mean EVERY single detail, consistently crosses my mind and comes up and then goes away daily. I keep getting the questions, “It’s probably really easy to plan your wedding since you are a planner, right?” And “How is planning going?” Truth be told, the planning process is just as hard as not having any idea about wedding planning. See, I don’t have a planner, other than Trista, and of course we have our other weddings to worry about so I don’t like to vent a whole lot about our planning process but, the stress and frustration that a new bride goes through during the planning process can really get the best of you. (Usually I have to break in the middle of our work day and just let it out!)
